I Will Never: Own a bird or date someone who owns birds

Ornithophobia - Fear of Birds

If you happen to have the pleasure of knowing me personally, you know my biggest fear is birds. You must think I'm crazy. I know. I've been told this multiple times. I get this question asked frequently: "How can you be terrified of birds? They're harmless." No, they most certainty are not harmless.


It's almost impossible to avoid birds. They are everywhere no matter where you are. Just the sight or sound of a bird terrifies me. There have been instances where I won't even get out of my car because there is a bird flying around in the parking lot.


I swear the birds see me as their prey. They all have come together and created a plan to get me. I just know it. I have been inside a mall and airports before where birds have been flying around. INSIDE. This is just not okay. It's one thing if they are flying around outside, but inside where I'm supposed to be protected from the awful creatures, now that is just messed up. I've also had seagulls steal food in my hand while sitting by the pool. I told you, they are out to get me.

The look of pure terror

I have not seen the movie The Birds and I plan on never seeing it. Most people think that is where my fear of birds come from. No, I have avoided this film at all costs. I also avoid all bird exhibits  Being trapped in a small space with hundreds of birds flying around? Yeah, I'm going to pass.


So if you can't tell, I really just hate birds. I think they are Satan’s messengers.


I will never own a bird, or date someone who has a bird as a pet. There is no way I will be coming over to your house if you have a bird as a pet. Sorry, but it won't happen. And if you try to scare me with it or think it is funny, just know that I am going to ruin your life. 


Enjoy this clip of a lady being attacked by birds. You will probably laugh, while I will just continue to hope that this will NEVER EVER happen to me. Fingers crossed and please keep me in your thoughts.
